Brent crude is the benchmark India's refiners price their imports against. It is shown here in rupees per barrel (Brent in dollars multiplied by the live USD/INR rate), which is the cost pressure behind India's fuel prices and import bill. Over the past 52 weeks, BRENT (INR) has traded between ₹5,286 /bbl and ₹11,969 /bbl. This is an indicative rupee price calculated from live international futures, the USD/INR rate and Indian import duty, so it tracks the MCX quote closely but is not the exchange's own tick.
