This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Market Dekho collects through its website and tools, and how it's used. Read it together with our Terms of Service and our Disclaimer & Risk Disclosure.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the Market Dekho website (market-dekho.com), our tools (Samjho Bhai portfolio review, mutual fund screener, SIP/SWP/Lumpsum calculators, IPO tracker), our newsletter, and our query/contact form. It does not cover third-party platforms we link to or operate community channels on — Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, and YouTube each have their own privacy policies, and your activity there is governed by those, not this one.

2. What we collect

We only collect what a specific tool or form needs to do its job. Here's what that looks like across the site:

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free tool, to count visits and to see which pages and buttons lead to enquiries (for example, clicks on the mentorship WhatsApp button, PDF downloads and email sign-ups). It does not use cookies, does not build profiles of individual visitors, and never receives your email address or phone number. We do not run advertising trackers (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) on this site.

3. How we store and process it

Newsletter and portfolio-review emails are stored in a Google Sheet, accessible only to Market Dekho, via a Google Cloud service account.
Price alerts are stored as a data record in Netlify Blobs (our hosting provider's storage) and checked periodically to trigger alert emails.
Transactional and marketing emails (confirmations, portfolio PDFs, alert notifications, newsletters) are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider.
The website itself is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of delivering the site — we don't separately access or repurpose these logs for tracking.
Portfolio holdings you submit to Samjho Bhai are processed to generate your verdict and, where you opt in, are logged alongside your email for our own marketing follow-up (e.g. relevant offers). They are not sold or shared with unrelated third parties.

4. What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data to anyone.
We don't share your portfolio holdings, email, or query messages with advertisers.
We don't use your data to make investment decisions on your behalf — Samjho Bhai's analysis is generated automatically and is educational, not investment advice (see our Disclaimer).

5. Your choices

Unsubscribe: Every newsletter and alert email includes a way to opt out, or you can email/WhatsApp us to be removed.
Access or deletion: You can ask us to tell you what data we hold on your email address, or to delete it, by reaching out via the contact details below.
Community channels: Leaving a Discord, Telegram, or WhatsApp community removes you from that channel, but any data held by that platform itself is managed under its own policy, not ours.

6. Data retention

We keep newsletter and alert email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed, and portfolio-review leads for as long as reasonably needed for the marketing follow-up described above, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Query form submissions aren't stored on our servers at all — they only exist as a WhatsApp message once you send it.

7. Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our tools evolve. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
