Seed phrase: meaning, example and why it matters

A list of words that can restore a crypto wallet and everything in it. Anyone who has it can move your funds, so it should never be shared or typed into a website.

Worked example

A 12 or 24 word phrase lets anyone restore the wallet on another device. A screenshot stored in cloud photos defeats the protection.
